HydraFacials are non-invasive skin rejuvenating and resurfacing treatments that combine the benefits of exfoliation, cleansing, hydration, and extraction along with effective antioxidant protection. Whether you would like to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, target hyperpigmentation, or improve acne-prone, oily skin, a HydraFacial could be the perfect treatment for you.
The HydraFacial face treatment has always been one of the most popular treatments at Waterhouse Young thanks to its impressive results and is often the foundation for all treatment plans to promote rejuvenation and skin health. In fact, the HydraFacial is fast becoming one of the most-requested facial treatments across many London clinics due to its versatility and suitability for most people.
However, not all HydraFacial’s face treatments are the same and what’s included in your treatment can vary greatly between different providers. At Waterhouse Young, we don’t want you to have to choose what’s included based on what you think you need and how much it costs. We therefore make our HydraFacials fully inclusive with no hidden extras. Many other clinics offer “bolt-ons” that are, in fact, what we consider to be, key components of the treatment.
The benefits of a HydraFacial Treatment
HydraFacials are moisturising and soothing to rejuvenate your skin and give you instant results. After the treatment, you’ll enjoy beautiful, hydrated skin along with a more youthful appearance and, even better, there’s minimal to no downtime and aftercare is kept to just avoiding direct sunshine.
We are able to treat wrinkles and fine lines, enlarged pores, acne-prone, oily skin, congestion and hyperpigmentation, whilst also rejuvenating dull, lacklustre skin and helping to improve a range of general skin concerns.
How does the HydraFacial work?
HydraFacial face treatments are medical facials meaning they are clinically proven with predictable results. At the end of the handpiece is a HydroPeel tip, these are changed throughout the treatment depending on which stage is being delivered. For example, the first stage is a deep cleanse and exfoliation so the tip helps to remove dead skin cells and impurities whilst simultaneously cleansing the skin.
The beauty of the HydraFacial is that it can be tailored to the individual and meet specific needs. As a result, this treatment can be truly bespoke to your requirements.
The basic steps of the HydraFacial treatment
A standard HydraFacial treatment should always begin by deeply cleansing and gently exfoliating the skin to remove any dead skin cells so that the new, healthy skin can be revealed beneath. A vacuum extraction (which is completely painless) will remove impurities from the pores.
Following this, the skin is nourished and hydrated, by being infused with hyaluronic acid (this is a natural substance that is found inside the human body) and an array of antioxidants. The final stage involves red LED light to boost circulation, reduce irritation and redness, and stimulate the production of collagen. For any patient with active acne, or congested skin, blue LED light therapy will be used to combat the bacteria. There is no need for any anaesthetic at any stage of the treatment, and you’ll experience absolutely no pain or discomfort during your appointment. It is extremely comfortable and relaxing.
In addition to these basic steps, there are various booster serums which can be added to further maximise results. These can include a superficial glycolic/salicylic face peel, Britenol – brightening agent or Dermabuilder, a tetrapeptide to stimulate collagen and elastin, plus many more. Typically these are considered ‘add-ons’ and often you are given the choice as to which you would like as they cost extra.
What will the results of my HydraFacial Treatment be?
HydraFacials are different from a traditional facial as they are clinically proven and medical grade. As a result, the outcomes are instant and visible after a single treatment. In fact, we often get a ‘wow’ when looking in the mirror immediately afterwards.
The treatment is mechanical, and thus it is efficient and fast, taking around 45 minutes to complete. Immediately following the treatment, your skin will look healthy, bright, rejuvenated, and well-hydrated. Any redness will fade within 10 minutes.
Makeup can be applied immediately after the treatment if necessary, although many patients prefer to leave their skin in its natural state to enjoy the nourishing benefits of the treatment.
What is included in a HydraFacial at Waterhouse Young?
Here at Waterhouse Young, we don’t believe you should have to choose what’s included in your HydraFacial based on your finances. That’s why we like to charge a single all-inclusive fee.
At Waterhouse Young we charge £250 per single HydraFacial treatment. This will include as many steps and serums/boosters as we believe necessary to maximise your treatment results. In addition, we replace the HydraFacial LED lights for an FDA cleared alternative called Celluma at no extra cost. This method of phototherapy has been clinically proven to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, reduce inflammation and stimulate collagen and elastin production. It’s super relaxing and has a calming effect on both mind and skin – you will look and feel truly refreshed. We call this the ‘HydraCelluma’, our signature HydraFacial.
We also have an excellent offer for patients wanting to do an intensive course. Generally they would have a treatment once a week for six weeks to optimise their skin health, and then move on to a monthly programme. We offer a course of 6 treatments for the price of 5 and these can be redeemed over a 12-month period.
Can HydraFacials be combined with other treatments?
Many of our patients have HydraFacials for rejuvenation and overall skin health, and some love to enhance these further by combining them with additional treatments to maximise results.
One of our top combination treatments is the HydraPresso, which involves undergoing a HydraFacial (HydraCelluma) procedure whilst relaxing in a mechanical massage suit to give full body lymphatic drainage at the same time. This relaxing, gentle massage will drain the lymph nodes to boost circulation and remove toxins. Another favourite is HydraCellumaEyes which adds an Intraceuticals Infusion to the delicate eye area delivering hyaluronic acid and antioxidants to plump the under eye.
We are always open to create the perfect treatment just for you, so do let us know how we can help you.
